The school and the homestay were the perfect way to start learning Spanish

The school experience was great. My whole family took courses here (the three of us) and we felt very much at home right away and the approach was professional and personal at the same tiem. My teacher was Bosco, who impressed me by the breadth of his knowledge and curiosity for such a young guy. He carried me through conversations with grammar stops and verb revision. The arranged my homestay as well. Even though I had difficulty understanding Dona Martha at first, it became easier I as the week went along and we often found ourselves in long conversations after meals. One of the teachers at the school was named Marlon, and we got to see him several times outside of school. He was an invaluable guide! He so willingly shared his knowledge and understanding of Nicaragua and Granada. All these aspects came together and made a great experience!

Wonderful in every way! Especially Marlon!

My sister and I just attended Casa Nica for five days. Our instructor, Marlon, is an exceptional person and teacher. Funny, fun, entertaining, very intelligent, kind, sensitive, thoughtful, and full of stories about his own life and life in Nicaragua in general. Because my sister tends to be late but needs her breakfast, on four of the five days we took Marlon to breakfast as part of our class. One day he took us to the mercado, where he showed us around — very interesting! It’s hard to believe that one gets private lessons from a superb teacher for such a low price, a price that also includes activities in the afternoon (we went to Laguna Apoyo and Las Isletas). The other teachers, Bosco (sp?) and Raquel, and the owner, Vanesa, were also great people. This was our third time in Nicaragua and surely won’t be the last; in fact, I would love to come here, AND take classes at Casa Nica, every year. I immediately fell in love with the country, its natural beauty, its artesanias, the ancient colonial city of Granada (not a big city), and, sobre todo, la gente. It’s hard to express how great our experience was. If you take Spanish classes in Nicaragua, go to Casa Nica.

Take this school!!

We have been to Nicaragua now four times and we always return to study with Casa Nica! We also recommend everybody to do the same. We improve everytime and always get tailored made programs. Apart from that is what we like very much is the enthousiasm of the teachers. When we leave, we always stay in touch either by skype, e mail or Facebook. It sort of like is family for us now. Thanks and we will return next year for sure, we already look forward to it. Wendy and Karen.

Very nice spanish school!

I was there last april and they made me feel very welcome. The teachers are professional, nice and they have a lot of patience. It is not only studying and being serious, we also made a lot of fun and went to different places in Granada to learn about their culture. I would recommend this school if you are going to Granada.

Great School and great staff!

We decided to study at Casa Nica for a week, but liked it and our homestay so much we decided to stay an extra week. The staff are all really great and seem to care a lot that your classes are going well. I had 2 different teachers, for each week. Which was good as I think you can get use to the way a teacher talks. Our home stay with Orlando and his family was excellent, I was quite surprised at how nice our room was, we even had a private bathroom which we did not expect. I would recommend Casa Nica and studying in Granada to anyone it’s a beautiful city.

Absolutely fantastic experience!!!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL!!! I went to the school to improve my fluency as a Spanish speaker and to improve my grammar. While I was studying at the school, I studied with Marlon Castillo. He is an excellent teacher who structured my lessons according to my needs. With him I studied grammar, poetry, nature, and conversation. Everyone at the school is very friendly and helpful with all accommodations. I think the way the lessons are structured, one on one, is the best way to learn a language because the teacher can work with your skill level and teach you exactly what you need to learn. The teachers at the school are very experienced and have high expectations. While I studied at the school, I stayed with a family which was a fantastic cultural experience. After studying, every day there was an opportunity to travel in and around Granada. The way the school organized the whole package for me made it a wonderful experience that I would suggest anyone from young to old give a try!!!
