Neighbors to Nicaragua works to alleviate poverty in various areas in Nicaragua including Granada, Pantanal, Ometepe and Managua. In the Centro Juan Pablo II education centers that they support Nicaraguan students are taught reading, math, and English because these skills enable the students to continue their education and secure jobs thereby breaking the cycle of poverty.

- Improve the living conditions of persons with disabilities in the city of Granada and surroundings
- Offer comprehensive care and as early as possible to people with disabilities or at risk of suffering

- Work to improve the search and new models of psychological, social care, communication, mediation and employment integration, support independent living and attention to aging people with disabilities

Education Plus is a grassroots organization that provides food, education, material assistance and love to the children of Pantanal, Nicaragua, who are among the poorest in the world. They serve hundreds of children by teaching core values and life skills in order to produce higher school enrollment, improved grades, and elimination of malnutrition.

Proyecto Mosaico is a non-profit association that has worked in Central America for several years. They focus on coordinating international volunteers for various organizations and projects in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Panama.
